We came across a YouTube video uploaded by Jeremy Stadlin that shows him teaching a group of youngsters in a Guatemalan village to sing the popular Israeli song, first in Spanish, and then in Hebrew. All this happens while they are dancing in an expanding and contracting circle.
This is the second of a series of renditions of Hevenu Shalom Aleichem from around the world, sometimes in unexpected locales. Last month we shared a performance of the song on stage in Korea. Watch for more interpretations in the coming months. Enjoy!
