Rona Oyveyski and Devorah Schlepperstein are a more extreme version of the team of Ronna and Beverly, the politically incorrect yentas whom we profiled in December 2009. They just posted their first 10 minute web video in what looks like a new series. It's called Episode Three, so there may be prequels on the way.
The loud, overbearing pair refer to themselves as the most fashionable, glamorous, witty women out there. And they also claim to be very intelligent.
Follow them as they guide us through their house, offering their very own decoration and organizational tips. This episode includes Powerful Pillows, Knick Knacks Galore (you can never have too many tchochkes), The Elegance of Animal Prints, and Secrets of Organizing a Pantry and Closet.
We'll be carefully watching your "like" and "don't like" votes for this one. Enjoy!

DeleteOK, OK. I hear you loud and clear. With an audience in the thousands, I'm always trying out new types of humor to see what catches fire and what doesn't with a very diverse demographic. The only feedback I have to work with is your comments and the number of likes vs. don't likes. After more than 800 posts this continues to be a fine tuning process. Thanks for your resounding voices on this one. There won't be another episode of Rona and Devorah on Jewish Humor Central. Please keep up the comments and likes/don't likes to help me refine the mix of posts.

ReplyDeleteI thought they were really funny (compared to alot of other videos that are rated on this site)...I have a jewish friend whose Mom and Aunt could be Rona and Devorah clones...Maybe this video hit a nerve with some of the people who rated it poorly because it hit a little too close to home? Hmmmm
ReplyDeleteI thought it was very funny and maybe if they iron out some of the kinks with lighting and pacing the videos will get even better...I found the dialogue extremely clever and I actually laughed out loud..after reading some of the posts I think you people need to lighten up...
ReplyDeleteI found them somewhat insulting to Jewish women (however, not much more insulting than two of my favorites Ronna and Beverly)Despite finding them somewhat insulting and slightly annoying (especially the voices) I thought they were extremely funny! Even though I wanted to hate them, I kept finding myself watching the video again and again and laughing every time...So I will be following them on the Web...Actually find myself quite anticipating their next video. My guess would be that they are not Jewish, after all Mike Myers and many Jewish impersonators are not Jewish, but who knows?
