Our Family's Glorious Legacy: Tall Tales or True Tales?

Every once in a while we come across an unexpected treasure -- an inspired original comedic piece that appeared and somehow didn't go viral on the internet, but rings true and will surely bring a smile to your face.

We haven't yet met a Jew who doesn't tell stories of some fabled ancestor in the old country who was the greatest rabbi, scholar, warrior, businessman, doctor, scientist, or leader of his generation. Some of the tales are true, but many of them have grown taller as they were retold from generation to generation.

When we stumbled upon such a piece by Neil Needleman, we felt we just had to share it with you. Neil is into advertising, copywriting, storytelling, and children's book illustrating, as you can see in this video, Our Family's Glorious Legacy. 

We're sure you have someone in your family tree who is talked about as having the same leadership qualities and achievements as Neil's ancestors. The fact that it fits so well with so many of us makes it even funnier. We didn't have to look far into our own family stories to find that a few of his drawings and descriptions resonated with us as well.
