"Jerusalem Prayer" - A New Song for Peace by Shmuel Halevi
We hadn't heard of Shmuel Halevi until he posted this song on YouTube last week. Now after listening to the Hebrew and English versions, we're looking for some of his other songs.
His new composition Jerusalem Prayer is an emotionally charged song of the soul. The song was actually composed in Jerusalem. It expresses the feelings of a spiritual experience the writer felt at the time of the composition. We think it's a good way to get into the right frame of mind to welcome Shabbat.
Be sure to watch the video to its conclusion. You won't want to miss the outtakes after the credits run.
Enjoy and Shabbat shalom!
