We've been big fans of Rita Rudner ever since she started to appear on late night TV in the 1980s. It's hard to believe that she's 68 and just as funny as ever.
One
of the hallmarks of her comedy is that it's clean, free from the
vulgarity and shouting that many stand-up comics find necessary. Her
delivery is demure, tasteful, full of wry observations, and
very funny.
A house-filling favorite in Las Vegas since she opened as one of the hottest tickets in town in June 2000, Rudner is known for her epigrammatic one-liners. Over the course of a fourteen year run and 2,000 plus shows, she has sold one and a half million tickets and become the longest-running solo comedy show in the history of Las Vegas. She has been named Las Vegas’s “Comedian Of The Year” nine years in a row and in 2006 received The Nevada Ballet’s “Woman Of The Year” Award.
We found some funny video clips from a few years ago and we'll be sharing them with you in the coming weeks. She'll keep us laughing until we see her on stage in Delray Beach, Florida next February 16.
Here's Rita on passwords, websites, dead phones, and the cloud.
Enjoy!
